The event is not a race and the roads used will not be closed to traffic. Participation in the event involves riding with other traffic and other cyclists in close proximity - it is a mass participation ride from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
There are no pace setters or prizes for finishing first, and competition of any sort is strongly discouraged for safety reasons.
